South Halls Head Primary School Uniform

Uniforms are compulsory for all students in all Western Australian public schools. As an Independent Public School (IPS), the SHHPS Board developed the current Uniform Policy, outlined below, in alignment with Western Australian Department of Education guidelines for student dress requirements.

The uniform for SHHPS students consists of the following items:
  • School polo shirt (long or short sleeve)
  • School dress
  • Navy blue shorts/skorts/long trousers/track pants/school microfibre pants
  • School microfibre jacket/navy jacket
  • School broad brimmed/bucket hat
  • School faction polo shirt (worn Fridays and faction carnival days only)
  • Footwear – blue, black or white sneakers/joggers/school shoes/sandals (with back strap)
  • The SHHPS uniform is available for purchase at the beginning of, and throughout, the school year from Perm A Pleat located at 2/76 Reserve, Mandurah, Western Australia. Telephone: (08) 9500 3036

Second hand uniforms are available for purchase via the SHHPS P&C Association Inc. by phoning Landy on 0431 345 000 or Shannon 0478 636 472

The South Halls Head Primary School Uniform Policy does not permit the following items:

  • Jewellery (except ear studs/sleepers, watch). Cultural or religious symbols may be worn at the Principal’s discretion.
  • Denim
  • Skate or ‘High Top’ Basketball shoes, thongs or reef type sandals
  • Fluorescent shoelaces
  • Logos on clothing (except school logo)
  • Make-up, nail polish, fake nails, excessive hair gel, coloured suncream/zinc
  • Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back

Exemptions to the above are at the discretion of the Principal.
